The philosophers are only trying to be nice to G-d: They can't allow an Infinite Being to get His Complete Simple Unity messed up with a lowly, material, fragmented world. And so they banish Him to the far, ethereal heavens, as removed as possible from our world. By their way of thinking, you can forget about miracles, prophecy or divine intervention in your life. G-d is just too far out there. Those philosophers are fools. In their groping for the infinite, they have ended up with a G-d bound by the limitations of the human mind. In fact, the ultimate measure of the Infinite is that it can be found within the finite as well. G-d is here now, within every thing, and G-d is One.
