Positive Mitzvah 90: Burning sacrifices that became Impure
Leviticus 7:19 "Any the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire"

Do you know what happens to an old prayer book or Bible that is torn and cannot be used anymore?

It certainly should not be thrown out!

These holy books are collected and buried in a special place.

Similarly, a sacrifice is considered holy.

It is prohibited to eat any sacrificial meat that has become impure.

Yet, we may not dispose of the meat in a careless manner. Rather, the Torah commands us to burn it.

Make a part of your life an act that takes you beyond your bounds -- helping people that are not part of your family or circle of friends, doing something that does not fit within your own self-definition. Escape yourself.
